How to turn off auto bullet or numbering in Outlook?
By default, when you type 1. or * in an email body and press the Space or the Enter key, the 1. or * you have typed in will be automatically numbered or bulleted. If you don’t want them to be automatically bulleted or numbered, you need to turn this auto format feature off.

Turn off auto bullet or numbering in Outlook
You can turn off auto bullet or numbering in Outlook as follows.
Step 1. Open the Outlook Options dialog box.
1. In Outlook 2010 and 2013, please click File > Options.
2. If you are using Outlook 2007, please click Tools > Options.
Step 2. Open the Editor Options dialog box.
1. In Outlook 2010 and 2013, please click the Mail in the left bar, and then click the Spelling and Autocorrect button in the Compose messages section.
2. In the Options dialog box in Outlook 2007, please click the Spelling and AutoCorrection button under Spelling tab.
Step 3. In the Editor Options dialog box, click the Proofing in the left bar, and then click the AutoCorrect Options button in the AutoCorrect options section. See screenshot:
Step 4. In the AutoCorrect dialog box, please go to the AutoFormat As You Type tab, and the uncheck the Automatic bulleted lists and the Automatic numbered lists boxes in the Apply as you type section. And then click the OK button. See screenshot:
Step 5. Click the OK buttons to close all dialog boxes to finish the whole settings.
From now on, the 1. Or * you type in the email body won’t be automatically numbered or bulleted any more.
